HT - Helpers
HT Helper Application - Click Here
The HT Helper program is our informal volunteer component for short-term visitors who come to help with a clearly defined need/project. In most cases, Helpers either live at our residence (if there is space), or HT arranges for lodging at a nearby guest house or hotel.
The HT helper program is similar to our SFVS long term volunteer program and we ask particpants to join in the daily life of our Haiti community, but the HELPER program is for folks who cannot commit to the long term (6 months or more) program.
The purpose of the HT Helper program is to tap into the goodness of U.S. volunteers who possess a specific talent that we need for a specific project. Periodically, we will generate a list of our needs/projects and post them here and we welcome inquiries from anyone who might help us with these projects. Example: Engineers coming to help us install an irrigation system at our agriculture project in Gonaives.
We ask Helpers to submit a basic resume and sign a waiver that states they understand the danger involved in volunteering in Haiti and that they agree to 'hold harmless" Hands Together for any and all problems they might encounter while helping Hands Together.
